Below you’ll find answers to some of the more common questions I’ve received. Read on to learn more about my services and what I’ve done to help my clients in pursuit of their goals. What is a Professional  Coach?                                                       
A Professional  Coach is a trusted thinking partner who can help you identify and uncover what keeps you from reaching your fullest potential. It is a one-on-one relationship that provides a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you create what you want for yourself. Coaching helps you strategize and acquire the tools and skills you need to achieve your goals. We work to  identify and reframe your thoughts and attitudes to support you in making the changes you want to achieve your goals.
            
Who needs a  Coach?
People from all walks of life work with professional Coaches to help attain their goals. I work with executive,  senior and mid level leaders, and those who want to change or be promoted in their career.  Working with a personal coach is not limited to any type of person, but is best for those who want to take initiative in their own life. People who work with a  coach are committed to making a change  and are willing to do the work needed to get there.


What happens in a Coaching Session?
Each session is customized  to you the client and will vary based on your individual needs. In the beginning, we will discuss what you are committed to accomplishing through our work together and we will begin to create a plan to achieve your goals.  We will work together to identify obstacles, explore alternate perspectives and acknowledge successes. 

Do I really need a personal Coach, can't I just do it by myself?
Coaching can take you above and beyond your own personal limitations. More often than not, people try to achieve their greatest potential but don’t even realize what stands in their way. As your  Coach I will offer an unbiased and objective perspective, and can help you realize your patterns and habits. Most people experience greater success in achieving their goals when working with a coach. 

How is Coaching different from Therapy?
While the coaching I provide can be therapeutic, it is not therapy. Coaching is distinct from traditional therapy because it is not designed to address psychological issues. While emotional issues may arise, the primary focus of coaching is to help you identify your goals, achieve them, and develop constructive habits and skills. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, but instead the focus is on creating what you want now and in the future.

How long do people generally work with a  Coach?
It depends on what  your goals are. Typically for leadership coaching  - to experience the effectiveness  of the coaching  and sustain any change,  clients make a  six-month commitment.
